Physician's Order Management
Nile Pharmacy provides a complete physician's order management system that prioritizes orders and allows complete pharmacy team interaction from the time the order is received until it is completed. Pharmacist can update the status of an order when only partially filled, when a nurse or physician has been contacted for clarification or when it requires a second pharmacist's verification.
Faster Order Completion and Better Patient Care
Patient care is improved by reducing errors and speeding up the time it takes to process a paper-based physician's order. Multiple pharmacists can efficiently balance working or new orders while Nile Pharmacy automatically prioritizes STAT orders sent from the nursing stations.
Notes and comments placed on orders can be viewed by the nursing staff the submitted the order. Phone calls to the pharmacy to check on the status of an order are virtually eliminated when floor nurses can view the status of their orders online.
Color Coded Work Queue
Orders in the work queue are color coded so that pharmacists can prioritize their work buy just clanking at the work queue. Using a configurable color palate, STAT orders can be shaded red or pink so they stand out from less critical orders. Unique color coding can be used for new orders, orders pending verification, orders waiting for clinical follow up and other workflow stages.

Quantified Performance Metrics
Nile Pharmacy maintains a detailed audit trail of everyone that viewed or modified and order as it is processed. Online reports track important efficiency metrics such as the average time it takes to complete each order and how frequently orders are placed on hold for verification from the doctor or nurse.
